Some drivers can be hardware specific for brand name computers. XP has been around for a long time and my only comment will be that once you get this sorted out it's time to re-think how you backup. XP won't recognize it by default.If it is already installed, then go to start-->network connections, and make sure it's the correct LAN connection, and that it's not disabled. Reinstall just the drivers and that should do it I think xp wants to use its own wireless network detection programs it cause conflict with 3rd party ones. Then right click on it, and view for available wireless connections.
