I had tried every possible other solution sugested here. My IE flashes for a msec and exits. Report Oscar- Jul 28, 2008 09:21AM Just wanted to thank you Jason - I tried your trick and... click on advanced fix and on the left side click on the system and there you will find the windows installer service cannot be accessed click on the fix button and This was after doing registry fixes, running CHKDSK /r, etc. The registry fix was AWSOME, I don't even need to reboot.
