I had changed the username, computer name, but in Windows Explorer it always showed the previous owners name - until now. I even have a password under my name and I show up as the only adminisator but the files still show her name. i would consult someone to help you as this also eliminates restore options but as well your problem lies within restore. Ccleaner Microsoft has not made a clean programming routine to cover that issue and merely lists the steps require to re-obtain your rights whenever the issue presents itself.

i tried regedit wd both the solutns, i have tried control panel optn, i have tried that control passwords2 option….still my laptop shows C:/Users/OLDNAME/…… someone has the ans to this???? I was able to change the name of the registered owner with ease, the person who set up my computer couldn't spell my name! Im really out of idea's. I live in Central Florida and we have a serious lightning problem and all of our equipment is well protected to stave off the effects of lightning.
