windows vista and low disk space. thanks man!!! The weird thing is, if you check on its properties, the used capacity is the same - so clearly, it isn't empty yet. Still a mismatch between what I SEE and what it is reporting.

Apparently not. But, if you look at any other measure, it seems that the drive only has 141 GB AVAILABLE out of466 GB (or 325 Used). It doesn't appear to have fixed the problem, but I have not yet restarted. Can someone help me?
