Can't Connect To The Internet Although There Is Connection.

I was able to access the internet 2 days ago via wifi and now I am not thru any sort of wifi although it shows I am connected. No Internet Access But Connected
That means if I upgrade, some hardware may not work with that operating system. There is no indication of no internet access at all. I can ping from the command line but unable to access the internet from any browser. Seems that this is a recurring issue because as I sit here and enter this post it is December 23, 2012 and some of these posts originated back in the summer.

Basically all the services of any non Microsoft related applications will no longer startup with the computer. Download the latest drivers from the manufacturers website on another computer and copy them over using a USB stick or CD.
